Invalid Handling
Options for handling invalid registration numbers when validating Customers, Vendors or employees. When dealing with incorrect registration numbers, our system provides several options to ensure flexibility and control over data integrity. These options allow users to decide how they want to handle such scenarios based on their specific needs and workflows. \ These options can be configured differently for Customers, Vendors, and Employees in the National Registry Setup Page.
Handling Options
-
Prompt: This option prompts the user with a message asking whether they want to proceed with creating the Customer, Vendor, or Employee despite the invalid registration number. It allows for manual intervention and decision-making on a case-by-case basis.
-
Error: Selecting this option will result in an error message being displayed, and the system will not proceed with creating the Customer, Vendor, or Employee. This ensures that no records with invalid registration numbers are created, maintaining strict data integrity.
-
Ignore: With this option, the system will ignore the invalid registration number and proceed with creating the Customer, Vendor, or Employee. This can be useful in scenarios where the registration number is not critical for the initial creation of the record and can be corrected later.
These options provide a balance between user control and automated data validation, catering to different business requirements and operational practices.
